I randomly came home to the suburbs to see the family, and one of the topics that came up was New Years.
I promise you I have been looking for to 2011 since I was in high school. I planned my education around this year to graduate, and based everything off of it for no reason. I know, it’s weird – but I did it because I always felt in my gut that 2011 would be a big year, just wasn’t sure why. To think that it is just a couple weeks away makes me very excited.
Some things I am looking forward to next year include graduating in May, turning 21 in June, going to the Philippines to see my family, starting my career and possibly grad school. With that, I have a lot of goals I am looking to accomplish, as well as upcoming projects, but I can’t spill what those are – it’s a surprise!
Anyway, there are some things I do right before the start of the year, maybe you guys will like them and want to try them also.
One thing my cousin and I have done for New Years is making a list of predictions of what we think will happen in 2011. You guys should try it, it’s pretty interesting when you open it up and see if you were right. Write them down either New Years Eve or the first day of the year – but, hide them and don’t open it until January 1, 2012.
The other thing I like to do is write out a list of goals I want to accomplish for the year, and of course, New Years resolutions. Last year mine were be positive, be happy, be selfless, be the bigger person at the end of the day, and forgive and forget. I am not sure what I will pick for this year, but I am guessing it will be along the lines of those because sadly, I didn’t stick to those resolutions all throughout the year.
Well, I can’t wait to see what 2011 brings to everyone, and I am so unbelievably eager to see if my gut feeling was really on point. Guess I will just have to wait and see. Goodnight!
