Last January, I only had 2,000 YouTube subscribers and my goal was to hit 10,000 subscribers before 2017 (that’s the minimum you need to have to unlock the space). I exceeded my goal because I reached 12,000 and was able to unlock the space a week ago! Woo!

Unlocking the space means being able to use the YouTube facilities and resources for FREE. Yes, free. Crazy, right? But, there’s a bunch of rules and process you should be made aware of.

1. Minimum amount of subscribers – You need 10,000 to unlock the space and it’s broken down by different tiers. 10,000 – 100,000 – 1 Million subscribers. The more subscribers you have, the more access you have. The biggest difference is the amount of days you can book one of the stages and how far in advance you can book them. Think about how many YouTube channels there are…. yeah, exactly. This is why it’s limited!

2. Online class – Once you reach the limit, you have to register to unlock the space. They check your channel, make sure you don’t have any strikes and in good standing. Once your approved, you have to take online classes, quizzes, etc., to understand the rules of YouTube, using the facilities, etc. It took me about 2 hours to complete.

3. Orientation – I reached my 10,000 back in November, but they had no orientations available until January and then  March. So that means orientations are limited and you should register right away! Orientation is a recap of the online class and a tour of the facilities – that also takes about 2 hours.

4. You can book! – Once you complete the online class and orientation, you have to sign the agreement and then you can officially use the facilities. One rule you have to keep in mind is that you have to book within 60 days of completing the orientation and signing the agreement, so if you don’t plan to do so, don’t sign up because then you have to do the whole process all over again.

I’m very much looking forward to learning more in their workshops, improving my videos and shooting out of their facilities. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed to my channel or watched a video! Next goal = 50,000 subscribers before 2018, so if you haven’t subscribed, please do so here: YouTube.com/c/JenDeLeon
