WorkoutSo I haven’t been blogging because I was in Chicago for the holidays, but I feel like I came back to LA with a whole new mindset. I’m not going to go into full detail – but in a nutshell, I am really trying to better myself this year.

I’ve spent the last few days writing a list of goals, things I need to get done to take me to the next level, a weekly schedule to keep me consistent, etc. I’m telling you, 2013 is the year. I can feel it.

Anyway, one of my goals is to become healthy. I did gymnastics from when I was 5-13 years-old, then cheerleading from 13-18. I used to be in the best shape and then it went downhill once I went to college. To make matters worse, I have the worst diet on the planet. I eat fast food pretty much everyday, and when I am not eating fast food I’m eating rice and drinking it down with pepsi. (My mom literally hides the pepsi everytime I come home just because of how much I drink it lol) On top of that, I don’t workout or drink water. Yeah, horrible. I know. BUT – that is going to change!

I went to the gym tonight for the first time in years and signed up for a membership. I was so lost when I was there. When I went on an elliptical, I kept pressing “quick start” and was standing there waiting for it to turn on. Definitely didn’t know you were supposed to start actually moving for it to turn on LOL – so I had to find a trainer to help me. Such a gym noob. I’m embarrassing.

Well, after learning how to work the machine, I ended up doing 2 miles! On top of that, I did 300 abs. I thought that was pretty good for my first time working out in awhile, right?

My goals for this whole being healthy thing is to go to to the gym minimum three times a week, drink a pack of water (I know you’re supposed to drink 8 glasses a day, but this is a big step for me, so shh) and learn how to cook.

As soon as I left the gym, I was so motivated that I went to Target (yes, I grocery shop at Target) and bought myself a pack of water, salad and some ingredients to cook myself sweet and sour chicken. Didn’t burn my apartment down, I pat myself on the back for that one.

So yeah, this is pretty much going to be a complete 360 for me – Can’t wait to see how I look and feel at the end of the year!
