The annual Make-A-Wish Ball took place at the UIC Forum in Chicago.

This year’s black-tie gala theme was, “Where Wishes Take Flight,” which goes hand-in-hand with the purpose behind this magical event: to help generate revenue to support wishes granted to Illinois children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Guests were entertained by Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, while enjoying a night filled with cocktails, dinner, dancing, raffles, a silent auction and performances – one included actor and comedian, David Spade.

Last year alone, the foundation granted 766 wishes – with plans to exceed that amount in 2012.

If this is an event you have never attended, add it to your to-do list for 2013! It was a great event to be a part of, and the smiles I saw on the children’s faces were truly inspiring and unforgettable.
