This message about believing was so good, I needed to break it down into two parts so you don’t miss anything. Here’s part one from T.D. Jakes’ message Believe.
- It’s so simple, yet we miss it all the time. We give him duties, sacrifices, walk around with a bible but none of that is going to count as much as believing in what God said to you and having a peace of mind
- The enemy does everything he can to destroy your belief system
- When you know who you are, you know who you are not
- If you don’t know who you are, you’ll morph into who they want you to be
- I can do ALL things. If you really believed that imagine what your life would be
- Some people are less gifted and talented, and it’s not that they have more than you, it’s they think differently than you
- What you do with what God gave you is up to you
- The predicament you’re in right now does not define your destiny
- Sometimes it’s the trouble you avoid that God is using to draw the greatness out of your life
- It’s easy to deceive people because you don’t even know you are. Doesn’t mean your evil or wrong, just means you are whatever people call you
- It takes a long time to figure life out, give yourself time
- When you start running from one thing, you start running from everything. You need to stop running and face what you need to face and deal with what you need to deal with. You’re going to run from love, responsibility, life – when are you going to stop running?
- You keep running from stuff that scares you
- You’re running from stuff God gave you
- Whatever you’ve been saying about they, is really about you
- You’ll never get anyone to embrace, believe and love you until you learn to embrace, believe and love yourself
- While you keep crying about what’s not in your hand, God is going to use something that’s already in your hand
- God doesn’t need anything that’s not in your hand to bless you. The problem is you have a limited perception of what’s in your hand
- You’ve got more than you think you do
- Stop blaming people for years you wasted
- You don’t know what you’ve got until you pick it up
- You cannot overcome what you will not confront
- They’re going to believe when you do
- If you believe you’re unlovable, you could work out, look good, but it’s what you believe
- You believe so much in God but don’t believe in you
